As we pursue excellence and unique experience in a festival, we are always reviewing our venues. This year we will not be screening in the IMAX theater. We plan to be back next year. With the launch of Star Trek, we had a hard time arguing with the Franklin Institute about contracts. Safe to say Star Trek won out. So, what we will do is screen in the illustrious Musser Theater instead. No problem in our mind, it’s state of the art, a great place to screen. As well, it has more of a discussion feel to it. We are excited about this as retiring to the atrium in previous years was hard to do with 600 people or so. Let’s see how this works out.
Let us know what you think. Since we plan to tie-in the screening of Star Trek (we have some classic memorabilia as well as tickets to give away), we all stand to actually benefit from this screening. We have already scouted some fantastic films that are ready for prime time and we plan to put them on display. With your help, we can welcome the world.
Thank you and we hope to see you at the festival.
