Hello all – Here’s the 2014 schedule. Thank you for your patience and input. We spoke to dozens of film makers and their supporters. You posted hundreds of times to FB, Twitter, and other Social Media outlets. We have never been so overwhelmed and the selection process has never been so animated. Thank you, it made us work harder and in turn seek out more venues. We also booked, officially, in Moscow Russia 4 films to be screened as official selections during the fest. We are excited to have premiers of Chuck D’s new film and countless others from around the city and the globe. We are excited to have film makers come from all over the world and connect up with the local film community.
We are very honored to be screening with some of the best institutions in the city – National Constitution Center, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Plays & Players Theater, Bryn Mawr Film Institute, Clay Studio, and more. Thank you. We are truly excited about the possibility to help filmmakers raise capital and distribute their films via our partnership with CoPhilly.com and ImpactHubPhilly.com on a global scale.
We have so much going on everyday at the Black Box at Plays & Players during the festival including a special talk back with Johanna Hamilton of the film 1971 and the people featured in the film. chuck D will be in the house to discuss his films and so will David Snyder, videogrpaher and music video maker for Public enemy. We are excited to promote our sponsored discussions by pifva.org, PhilaActing.com, Producers Association of PA, Sag/Aftra, Adobe, and many others. We will have always on filmmakers discussions and roundtables. The filmmakers lounge will be open, once again, for extended hours this year.
Welcome back. We hope you come. We hope you interact.
