Festival #14 update – Hybrid? Virtual? Brick and Morter? All of the above?

As we wind through submissions we have been working OT to figure out if the festival will be hybrid, online, offline, who knows. The city is still at 15% indoor seating and this is a huge issue for us as you all know. Our festival cannot screen at capacity when only 15% are allowed. As well, who will come to such an event? We are planning a virtual festival and are furiously working to provide a platform that makes sense. So, we’re working with friends to build our own. Yes, our own.

This platform will be the basis for a 24/7 launch for our festival. We are also cultivating “Real Estate” in Decentraland for a future Decentraland Film Society (DFS). So you heard it here first. We’re pushing a 24/7 festival that culminates in an annual gathering.

How will we do this? We’ll let you know soon (it’s a combination of VR, software, and original design) but in the meantime, if you are interested in partnering in this groundbreaking process, contact us via DM or @PHILAINDIE Thank you!
