PIFF #15 recap – Festival Best of… being posted to Filmfreeway, where to screen next year, Film Club firing up and more!

Welcome back to the fun filled world of Philadelphia film! We are pleased to announce that we are posting the festival Best of… to Filmfreeway beginning today (October 27th) and will be doing so throughout the weekend. Thank you for the constant contact and input. We know this took some time to get the discussion out of the door but we believe it is worth it and we hope you agree. Check our social handles as well and we’ll continue to keep you in the loop. We are excited to announce.

What’s up with the cool PIFF venues to match the unique one-of-a-kind films we curate you ask? We had to look at the past few years in a very different way to see what people now want in a festival. It is very different. We have always tied the highest tech standards to what we do and this year working with BOK and the Klip Collective was no different. We are very excited about the opportunities in the Metaverse with our friends at AgoraVR. Our streaming test site is still up and we are writing up the particulars for filmmakers to jump on. This is a no no nonsense approach to having your film streamed. We are working on this now as it is not ready (front endwise) for primetime. Thank you for working with us this past year.

Film Club? it looks like the tea leaves are working in our favor to fire up the live underground film forum #uff. We have done this over the years and with a pandemic hopefully in the rearview mirror, now is the time to get going again. this is a great way to meet the local film community like no other event in the city. More about this soon. Look for this to get going this year.

Next year is already moving along (submissions are up 50%+ since this time last year. Thank you. We will keep you posted on the exact dates which are at the end of April / start of May. We will post shortly as we coordinate with filmmakers and our partners.

We have more but we promise to post regularly and more frequently. Feel free to continue to contact us (in DM or live on social media!) as you feel it. We love the feedback 🙂
